Lago Vista is built on steep limestone hills above the north shore of Lake Travis, and that terrain shapes almost every plumbing job we do here. Many homes sit below the street or far from the sewer main, so they depend on grinder pumps or ejector pumps to push wastewater uphill, and some properties are still on septic. Neighborhoods like Highland Lake Estates, The Highlands and Bar-K Ranches mix 1970s and 1980s lake houses with brand new builds, which means we work on everything from original galvanized lines to modern PEX. The water here is also very hard, and mineral buildup shortens the life of water heaters, valves and fixtures. Our guide on hard water in Lago Vista explains what that does to your pipes.
Because Lago Vista is in Travis County, larger jobs like water heater replacements, repiping and sewer work often need a permit and inspection. We pull the permits and handle the paperwork so the job passes the first time. You can read more in our Travis County plumbing permit guide. If a grinder pump alarm is going off, turn off water use in the house and call us. We carry common pump parts and can usually get a failed system running again the same day.
Many Lago Vista properties rely on grinder pumps or sewer ejector pumps to move wastewater uphill to the main sewer line. These pumps require specialized maintenance and repair. Jarrod’s Plumbing has factory-trained technicians who service all major grinder pump brands. We troubleshoot issues like constant running, tripped breakers, or alarm warnings. We can replace worn impellers, unclog pump inlets, and install backup pumps and high-water alarms to prevent sewage backups. Regular maintenance – including cleaning the pump basin, checking float switches, and testing the electrical system – can double the life of your pump. If your grinder pump fails, we offer emergency replacement with same-day service. Don’t wait for a sewage backup in your home. Call the Lago Vista grinder pump experts at Jarrod’s Plumbing for inspection, repair, or replacement.
As Lago Vista expands, some neighborhoods are converting from septic systems to municipal sewer. Jarrod’s Plumbing guides homeowners through every step of the conversion process. We handle the connection from your home to the new sewer main, including abandoning the old septic tank (properly filled and permitted), installing a new sewer cleanout, and connecting all interior drains. We also coordinate with the local utility district and inspection department to ensure full compliance. If you’re considering selling your home or simply want the convenience of sewer service, we provide free site assessments and detailed quotes. Our team has completed dozens of septic-to-sewer conversions in Lago Vista, so you can trust us to manage the complexity and keep the project on schedule. Upgrade your property’s value and eliminate septic worries – contact Jarrod’s Plumbing today.
